Don’t worry, because we have done the research for you. It’s difficult to make a choice among all the system audio recorders with different features and prices. It is a great internal sound recorder to record audio from Skype, radios, or other apps, but some users may want to find an alternative due to the price, the complexity, or other reasons. To my knowledge, Audio Hijack doesn't offer that capability.Audio Hijack is an audio recording program for Mac that can record system sound from Mac and edit the audio in real-time. It was a very efficient way to create, say, PowerPoint videos with timing-sensitive animations. It enabled me to listen to a sound track at the same time that I was incorporating that sound into a screen recording (via QuickTime Player) of what I was doing on-screen. My OS is 10.9.5.I loved it when Soundflower worked with Amadeus. Soundflower was a huge blessing for recording everything at once, its a shame it fails to work in the newer versions of OS X! I seem to remember Moutain Lion did not work with Soundflower. Do a fresh install of an older version of OS X such as Snow Leopard, I am pretty sure Soundflower still works well, for Certain with 10.6, I happen to have more than several machines for older software. ![]() Let me know your thoughts on that if you do download and try it out?īut also, I was just going to suggest that you could create a separate Startup Disk on an external drive, preferably one that is fast enough for your applications. Try loading the demo here: Īs far as I know you should be able to record system audio while monitoring, I have done it, however there may be more latency induced that you like? In addition, the monitor switch on the output must be reset, or at least on my system it behaves strange I have noticed, but does work if you are patient enough and persistent enough to figure it out. Your certainly welcome, I was just thinking that perhaps Audio Hijack would record System Audio, I also use 10.9.5 too on my Late 2012 imac i7 3.1ghz, it works here just fine. I know how to ditch Soundflower, but how to remove the taint on Amadeus? I downloaded a fresh copy of Amadeus, but it has the same issue. I would like to ditch Soundflower once and for all and have an untainted Amadeus. ![]() It seems Soundflower has messed with something that Amadeus uses, because I don't have the same problem with QuickTime. Now with Amadeus v2.2.2, it's worse: I can't get sound output from Amadeus without Soundflowerbed active, plus the volume is waaaaaay low—too low for me to be able to edit audio. Then, a year or two ago, I started to have periodic issues: couldn't get sound output from Amadeus without Soundflowerbed active. I used Amadeus v1 & v2 with Soundflower for many months with no problems. I could suggest you re-evaluate your current OS X version and Soundflower? You may be able to switch back to older versions of OS X and find success, otherwise check out Audio Hijack for newer OS X versions. I used to use Soundflower years ago with older versions of OS X very successfully, but since moving my main operations on Mavericks/Yosemite (10.9/10.10 ) I use Audio Hijack to capture audio and then edit with Logic pro X, I was hoping that Amadeus would work the job Audio Hijack would do but have since given up finding Audio Hijack much more intuitive. In regards to your issues with Amadeus V1 and V2 it might help to list which OS X version you are using with Soundflower at this time. ![]()
